Production of pears
From unique territories, all in Italy, in the provinces of Modena, Bologna, Ferrara and the Po Valley. The varieties available include:
Abate Fétel, also known as the queen of pears, which is grown exclusively in these areas. Pears are available from September to May.
Rich in natural sugars, pears are a sweet fruit, but at the same time are ideal in any diet; in fact, a medium-sized fruit (approx. 160g) contains just 100 calories. Pears are also an important source of fibre, potassium and vitamin C, all fundamental for boosting the immune system and protecting against free radicals.
